Ingredients

  • 1 fryer, cut into pcs
  • 6 potatoes, cut into chunks
  • 1 (16 ounce.) jar Steinfeld's Wine Kraut (or possibly reg. kraut), liquid removed
  • 1 c. apple juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon curry pwdr
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar

Method

  • In large skillet fry chicken pcs in small amount of oil till brown.
  • Then add in liquid removed sauerkraut and potatoes.
  • Salt and pepper to taste.
  • Mix apple juice with curry pwdr, ginger and brown sugar and pour over chicken.
  • Simmer for 45 min.
