Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 8 lasagne noodles, uncooked
  • 1 carton Ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 1 (32 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 lb. Mozzarella cheese, grated
  • 1 egg, beaten slightly
  • 1 Tbsp. parsley flakes

Method

  • Crumble ground meat into plastic colander over mixing bowl; microwave on High for 5 minutes, stirring at 2 1/2 minutes. Discard drippings.
  • Combine meat, sauce, water and Italian seasoning; set aside.
  • Combine Ricotta cheese, egg, parsley, pepper and 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese in a separate bowl.
  • Pour 1/4 inch of meat sauce in a baking dish.
  • Layer noodles, Ricotta cheese mixture and then Mozzarella cheese.
  • Cover with plastic wrap; microwave on High for 8 minutes.
  • Simmer (1/3 power) for 20 minutes.
  • Sprinkle on remaining Parmesan cheese.
  • Allow to stand 15 minutes before serving.
