Ingredients
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 3 c. broth
- 1 c. milk
- 3 c. diced chicken, cooked
- 1 (16 oz.) can mixed vegetables, drained
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. poultry seasoning
Method
- Melt butter in a heavy Dutch oven.
- Add flour, stirring until smooth.
- Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.
- Gradually add broth and milk; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is thickened and bubbly.
- Stir in next 5 ingredients.
- Pour chicken mixture into a lightly greased 12 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish.
- Top with Pastry.
- Bake at 400° for 25 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
