Ingredients

  • 1 chicken, cut in pieces
  • 1 c. onion, chopped
  • 1 c. celery, chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 small pkg. Pepperidge Farm dressing
  • 2 cans celery soup
  • 2 cans chicken broth

Method

  • Cook chicken, celery, onion, salt and pepper until done. Remove chicken from bone and save broth; strain and keep celery and onion.
  • Melt butter and pour over Pepperidge Farm dressing; mix well.
  • Put 1/2 dressing in 9 x 13-inch baking dish and add in layers chicken, onion, celery, celery soup and chicken broth. Pour broth slowly (you may need to make holes for it to soak in). Cover with rest of dressing and bake at 350° for 1/2 hour or until brown on top.
