Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. rice
  • 1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
  • 2 cans cream soup (either mushroom, celery or chicken)
  • 1 whole chicken or breasts
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 c. water

Method

  • Spray or grease a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Mix the rice and dry onion soup mix together and place in bottom of pan. Add 2 cans (your choice) cream soup over top of rice mixture. Place raw chicken over mix. Add salt and pepper and the 2 cups of water over all. Cover and bake in a preheated 350° oven for 2 1/2 hours. Uncover and bake 1/2 hour more to brown.
