Ingredients

  • 1 (2 to 3 lb.) chicken or 2 lb. chicken parts
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 c. broth from chicken
  • 1 c. liquid nondairy creamer
  • 1 tsp. low sodium chicken bouillon
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 tsp. celery seed
  • 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
  • 8 oz. dry noodles (not egg noodles)
  • 3 c. boiling water
  • 1 c. seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1/2 c. margarine

Method

  • Place rinsed chicken into skillet with tight fitting lid.
  • Add onion and 1/2 cup of water.
  • Simmer until tender, about 1 hour. Cool and dice.
