- 1 (2 to 3 lb.) chicken or 2 lb. chicken parts
- 1 medium onion
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 1 c. broth from chicken
- 1 c. liquid nondairy creamer
- 1 tsp. low sodium chicken bouillon
- 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
- 1 tsp. celery seed
- 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
- 8 oz. dry noodles (not egg noodles)
- 3 c. boiling water
- 1 c. seasoned bread crumbs
- 1/2 c. margarine
Method
- Place rinsed chicken into skillet with tight fitting lid.
- Add onion and 1/2 cup of water.
- Simmer until tender, about 1 hour. Cool and dice.
