Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 c. butter
- 2 c. crumbled cornbread
- 1/2 c. dry bread crumbs
- 3 1/2 to 4 c. chicken broth
- 1/3 c. diced onion
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. chopped celery
- 1 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
- 1 chicken
Method
- Cook chicken until tender in a large pot of boiling water. Remove chicken, saving broth!
- Remove meat from bone.
- Mix all the dressing ingredients well (it will be real soupy).
- Pour half of the mixture into a greased oblong baking dish.
- Place chicken pieces on top and cover with remaining dressing mixture.
- Bake at 450° for 30 minutes.
