Ingredients
- 1 1/2 to 2 lb. chicken (may be frozen, may be skinless and boneless)
- 2 c. water
- 1/2 c. vinegar
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- cooked rice
- 1 Tbsp. oil
Method
- Combine chicken, water, vinegar, bay leaf, garlic, pepper and soy sauce in a medium to large saucepan.
- Bring to a boil; cover and lower heat.
- Cook until chicken is done and a small amount of broth is left.
- Add the oil and brown the contents of the pan, if desired.
- (Cooking time is 45 to 60 minutes average.)
- Serve over rice.
