Ingredients

  • 1 (8-serving size) pkg. cherry gelatin
  • 1/4 c. lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 c. chopped apples
  • 1/2 c. nuts
  • 1 c. chopped celery
  • lettuce leaves
  • apple slices

Method

  • In a large bowl, prepare gelatin with 2 cups of boiling water and 1 cup of cold water.
  • Add lemon juice and then chill until partially set.
  • Fold in apples, nuts and celery.
  • Pour into lightly oiled 6-cup mold or 9-inch square pan.
  • Chill 4 to 6 hours.
  • Serve on lettuce leaves and garnish with apple slices. Makes approximately 8 to 10 servings.
