Ingredients

  • 1 lb extra lean ground beef
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup dry breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
  • 1/8 teaspoon cracked black pepper
  • 6 slices fully cooked bacon

Method

  • Heat oven to 400°F.
  • Mix all ingredients except bacon.
  • Shape into loaf in 9x5-inch loaf pan; top with bacon.
  • Bake 1 hour or until done (160°F). Let stand 5 minutes before removing from pan and slicing to serve.
