Ingredients

  • butter (for sauteing)
  • 1 c. each: onion, carrot, potato and celery
  • 2 c. broccoli
  • 1/2 c. green pepper
  • 1 (49 1/2 oz.) can chicken broth
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1 (16 oz.) jar Cheez Whiz

Method

  • Melt butter in pan; add vegetables and saute until tender. Add broth gradually.
  • Add milk to flour, then combine with vegetables and broth in large pot.
  • Bring to boil and let thicken for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Add Cheez Whiz and salt and pepper to taste. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Makes 8 generous servings.
