Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. biscuit mix
  • 1 1/2 c. (6 oz.) shredded sharp cheese
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1 c. evaporated milk
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/2 c. chopped pecans

Method

  • Combine first 3 ingredients in a large bowl.
  • Set aside. Combine egg, milk and water; add to dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened.
  • Stir in pecans.
  • Spoon batter into a lightly greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
  • Bake at 350° for 55 to 60 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
  • Let cool in pan for 10 minutes.
