Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
- 3/4 c. butter
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/3 c. milk
Method
- Melt butter; add sugar.
- Cook over low heat, stirring constantly for 2 minutes.
- Add milk.
- Bring to full boil.
- Remove and add 3 1/2 cups xxxx sugar, then beat.
- Adjust the thickness of icing by using either more or less sugar.
- Add vanilla, if desired.
