Ingredients
- 3 sq. unsweetened chocolate
- 1 c. caramel chips
- 2 c. cake flour
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs (unbeaten)
- 1 c. plus 2 tsp. milk
Method
- Melt chocolate and caramel chips in double boiler; cool slightly.
- Cream butter.
- Add sugar; beat until light and fluffy. Blend in vanilla.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
- Stir in caramel-chocolate mixture.
- Add flour alternately with milk, beating smooth after each addition.
- Bake in 2 (9-inch) pans at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.
