Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup caramel ice cream topping, divided
  • Vanilla Crumb Crust
  • 1 qt. (4 cups) vanilla ice cream, softened
  • 2 medium apples, peeled, cored and coarsely chopped King Sooper's 1 lb For $0.87 thru 02/09
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 2 Tbsp. firmly packed light brown sugar

Method

  • Drizzle 1/2 cup of the caramel topping evenly onto bottom of prepared crust.
  • Top with scoops of ice cream.
  • Freeze 4 hours or until ready to serve.
  • Cook apples in butter and sugar in large skillet on medium heat 5 min.
  • or until apples are tender, stirring frequently.
  • Cool.
  • Spoon apples over ice cream; drizzle with remaining 1/4 cup topping just before serving.
  • Cover and store leftover pie in freezer.
