Ingredients
- 48 (approximately) saltine crackers
- 1 cup butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 cup chocolate chips
- 1 oz White baking chocolate
- 1 tsp shortening
Method
- Preheat oven to 350.
- In small saucepan, bring butter and sugar to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Meanwhile, line a 15x10x1" baking pan with heavy duty aluminum foil.
- Place crackers salt side down in foil.
- Pour butter and sugar mixture over crackers and bake 8 minutes.
- Sprinkle with chocolate chips and bake 5 minutes longer or until chocolate chips begin to soften.
- With metal spatula, smooth chocolate chips over top.
- ***The chips will not melt, just get warm and gooey.
- They will be soft enough to spread over the cracker base.

- Melt white chocolate and shortening.
- Drizzle over chocolate.
- Chill 20 minutes and break into pieces.
