Ingredients
- 1 lb. bacon
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 c. catsup
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. mustard
- 2 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
- 1 (16 oz.) can pork and beans
- 1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans
- 1 (16 oz.) can limas, drained
Method
- Fry bacon; crumble into small pieces.
- Fry onion and ground beef until brown; drain.
- In very large baking dish, combine bacon, beef, onion, catsup, sugar, mustard, vinegar and salt.
- Fold in beans and stir gently.
- Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 30 minutes or at 350° for 1 hour.
- Serves 10.
- Good with corn bread or muffins.
