Ingredients
- 1 c. dried apricots
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. chopped dates
- 3/4 c. butter
- 1 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Chop apricots.
- Cover with boiling water for 5 minutes; drain. Cream shortening and sugar.
- Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.
- Add remaining ingredients; mix well.
- Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet; bake about 12 minutes at 325°.
