Ingredients

  • 4 medium eggs
  • 2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Method

  • Beat eggs with rotary beater in top of double boiler just until blended.
  • Stir in brown sugar and butter.
  • Place over rapidly boiling water, stirring constantly, until hot or about 5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Sift together flour and baking powder.
  • Add all at once to hot mixture.
  • Mix well until blended. Stir in chopped nuts and vanilla.
