Ingredients

  • 1 to 2 chicken breasts, cooked and cubed
  • 3 to 4 potatoes
  • 3 to 4 carrots
  • 1 onion
  • 1 qt. tomatoes
  • 1/2 c. each: corn, peas and limas, cooked
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • salt, pepper and basil to taste

Method

  • Chop potatoes, carrots and onions for soup and cover with water or leftover broth to cook. When tender, add the rest of the ingredients and simmer 20 minutes. You may substitute turkey chunks from your holiday meal and save vegetables in a "soup carton, " until you have the right proportions. Serves 4 to 5.
