Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple, undrained
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • Frosting
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup nuts
  • 1 3/4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Method

  • Mix dry ingredients well.
  • Add vanilla,pineapple and nuts and mix.
  • Bake in ungreased 9x13 inch pan for 45 minutes at 350 degrees Frosting: Cream the cream cheese and butter together.
  • Add powdered sugar gradually.
  • Stir in salt,vanilla and nuts.
  • Spread on top of cake.
