Ingredients

  • 16 slices white bread, cut off crusts
  • 8 slices boiled ham
  • 8 slices sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 7 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3 c. milk
  • 1 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 c. corn flake crumbs
  • 1 stick melted oleo

Method

  • Put 8 slices of buttered bread, butter side down, in a 9 x 13-inch greased pan. Add ham and cheese. Add other bread slices. Set aside. Combine the eggs, salt, pepper, dry mustard and milk. Pour over bread, cheese and ham.
  • Refrigerate overnight (cover with Saran Wrap).
  • Next morning, mix corn flake crumbs and oleo. Sprinkle over casserole.
  • Bake at 300° for 1 hour.
