Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter/margarine
  • 4 (1 oz. each) sq. unsweetened chocolate
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 c. flour (all-purpose)
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. nuts, coarsely chopped
  • 1 c. chocolate chips

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Grease 13 x 9-inch pan.
  • Bake 40 minutes.
  • Cool on wire rack 30 minutes.
  • Over low heat, melt butter and chocolate.
  • Remove from heat; stir in sugar.
  • Add eggs, one at a time, beating until blended after each.
  • Stir in flour, vanilla and nuts.
  • Pour into greased baking dish and top with chocolate chips.
  • Check for doneness with a toothpick.
