Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 c. salt
- 2 1/2 c. plain flour
- 2 Tbsp. alum
- 1 Tbsp. cooking oil
- few drops of food coloring
Method
- Bring water and salt to boil.
- Remove from heat; add oil, alum and food coloring.
- Stir and add 2 cups of flour.
- Use rest of flour if needed to make stiff.
- Pour on floured surface.
- Knead as you would bread dough until good consistency.
- Store in refrigerator overnight.
- Afterward, store in closed container.
- No more refrigeration is necessary.
