Ingredients

  • 1 c. Butter
  • 1/2 c. Shortening
  • 1 box , (16 ounce) brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. Sugar
  • 5 lrg Large eggs
  • 1/2 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 3 c. Flour
  • 1 c. Lowfat milk
  • 2 Tbsp. Vanilla
  • 1 c. Pecans, minced

Method

  • Cream butter and shortening in a large bowl, gradually add in sugar till light and fluffy.
  • Add in Large eggs one at a time, beating well after each.
  • Combine baking pwdr and flour add in to creamed mix alternately with lowfat milk, beginning and ending with flour and beating well after each addition.
  • Stir in vanilla and pecans.
  • Pour into greased and floured 10" tube pan.
  • Bake at 350 1 hour and 10 min or possibly till cake tester comes out clean.
  • Cold in pan 10 min, invert on wire rack to cold completely.
  • Frost with cream cheese frosting.
