Ingredients

  • 1 (10 oz.) frozen broccoli
  • 1/2 c. cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/4 c. sharp American cheese
  • 2 Tbsp. milk
  • 2 Tbsp. mayonnaise
  • 1 beaten raw egg
  • 2 Tbsp. fine bread crumbs or crackers
  • 1/2 Tbsp. melted margarine

Method

  • Cook broccoli according to package directions, omitting salt called for.
  • Drain thoroughly.
  • Place broccoli in baking dish. Stir together soup and cheese.
  • Gradually add milk, mayonnaise and egg, stirring to blend.
  • Pour over broccoli.
  • Combine crumbs and margarine.
  • Sprinkle over soup mixture.
  • Bake at 350° until heated and bread crumbs brown, about 35 minutes.
