Ingredients

  • 8 slices soft white bread
  • 2 c. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 1/2 lb. pork sausage
  • 3/4 tsp. dry mustard
  • 2 1/2 c. milk
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 c. milk

Method

  • Fry sausage; drain and crumble.

  • 9-inch pan. Tear white bread into bite-size pieces and layer in pan. Layer sausage over bread.
  • Combine
  • mustard,
  • milk
  • and
  • eggs. Pour over sausage.
  • Cover
  • and refrigerate overnight.
  • Combine cream of mushroom soup
  • and milk.
  • Pour over casserole.
  • Bake at 300° for 1 1/2 hours.
  • Let set 15 minutes before serving.
