Ingredients

  • egg 1 lg.
  • 1 tablespoon cold milk
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Method

  • Stir together above ingredients in a plate in the order given. In another plate mix 1 1/2 cups dried bread crumbs with 1 teaspoon salt. Put fish fillets first in egg mixture then coat well with bread crumbs.
  • Beat 2 tablespoons canola oil or 1 tablespoon oil and 1 tablespoon butter in fry pan over medium heat and fry bread fish until golden brown.
  • Frost fish usually has a glaze over them which should be removed under cold running water and then wiped dry with paper towel first.
