Ingredients
- 4 whole Artichokes
- 8 cups Water, Or Enough To Cover The Artichokes And Other Ingredients
- 4 cloves Garlic, Smashed
- 2 whole Lemons, Halved, And Juice Squeezed Out Of Halves
- 2 stalks Celery, Large, Chopped
- 3 sprigs Bay Leaves
- 4 Tablespoons Olive Oil
Method
- Prepare a large pot of water and add all of the ingredients except the artichokes. Add the lemon juice and the lemon halves.
- Trim the artichoke stems and leaves, and cut the tops off so the flavor can reach the inside. Add artichokes to the pot of water. Bring water to a boil and boil for 45 minutes until the artichokes are tender. Enjoy!
