Ingredients

  • 3 cans whole cranberry sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 6 c. boiling water
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 large apple, diced small
  • 1 (No. 2 1/2) can crushed pineapple
  • 6 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry jello
  • 1 orange, ground
  • 1/2 c. chopped English walnuts (optional)

Method

  • Heat cranberry sauce, being careful not to scorch.
  • Stir gently so as to not break or mash berries.
  • Strain, reserving juice.
  • Dissolve jello in hot water.
  • Add salt and lemon juice. Chill until slightly jelled (enough to mound a little when dropped from spoon).
  • Mold in individual molds or one large mold.
