Ingredients

  • 1 large can chunk pineapple, reserve 1 c. juice
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 c. margarine, melted
  • 4 to 5 slices bread

Method

  • Drain can of pineapple, reserving 1 cup of juice.
  • Cook together juice, sugar, flour and margarine until thickened. Generously butter an 8 x 12-inch casserole dish.
  • Cube bread and place in casserole and mix with drained chunk pineapple.
  • Pour thickened pineapple sauce over mixture, gently blend in.
  • Bake at 350° about 30 minutes.
