Ingredients
- 1 large can chunk pineapple, reserve 1 c. juice
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 c. margarine, melted
- 4 to 5 slices bread
Method
- Drain can of pineapple, reserving 1 cup of juice.
- Cook together juice, sugar, flour and margarine until thickened. Generously butter an 8 x 12-inch casserole dish.
- Cube bread and place in casserole and mix with drained chunk pineapple.
- Pour thickened pineapple sauce over mixture, gently blend in.
- Bake at 350° about 30 minutes.
