Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. butter or margarine
  • 3/4 c. undiluted evaporated milk
  • 1 (7 oz.) jar marshmallow cream
  • 6 oz. milk chocolate pieces
  • 6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. chopped nuts

Method

  • In a heavy 2-quart saucepan, mix the sugar, butter, marshmallow cream and milk.
  • Bring to a bubbling, quick boil, stirring constantly.
  • Reduce to medium heat when bubbles appear all over the top; stir 6 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and add the chocolate pieces.
  • Stir until chocolate is completely melted and blended into mixture.
  • Add the vanilla and the nuts.
  • Pop into greased pan.
  • Cool thoroughly.
  • Makes approximately 2 1/4 pounds.
