Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. dry sherry (optional)
  • 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. ground ginger
  • 3/4 lb. beef flank steak strips
  • 1 Tbsp. oil
  • 3 c. bite size vegetables (broccoli, red or green peppers)
  • 1 1/2 c. beef broth
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • Minute rice (white)

Method

  • Mix soy sauce, sherry, brown sugar and seasonings; add beef, let stand 10 minutes to marinate.
  • Stir fry beef in hot oil in skillet until browned.
  • Add vegetables; stir-fry until tender-crisp.
  • Mix broth and cornstarch, add to skillet.
  • Bring to boil for 1 minute.
  • Prepare rice according to package.
  • Serve meat mixture over rice.
