Ingredients
- 1/2-inch steak, cut in 2-inch cubes
- 1 small minced garlic clove
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp. cooking oil
- 2 to 4 Tbsp. sake, sherry or gin
- 1 1/2 lb. bite size broccoli
- 3/4 c. water
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/2 c. cold water
Method
- In wok, stir-fry beef, garlic, sugar and salt in hot oil. Stir in sake and soy sauce.
- Cover and cook 2 to 3 minutes. Remove meat and set aside.
- Add broccoli and 3/4 cup water.
- Cook 2 to 5 minutes, until crispy.
- Add meat.
