Ingredients

  • 2 can Bavarian-style sauerkraut - (27 ounce ea) undrained
  • 2 lb Polish kielbasa sausage precooked, and cut into 3" pcs
  • 1 med onion thinly sliced, separated into rings
  • 1 tsp instant chicken bouillon
  • 1/2 tsp celery seed

Method

  • In bottom of slow cooking pot, layer 1 can sauerkraut, 1 lb.
  • of the sausage pcs, half the onion slices, 1/2 tsp.
  • boulllon and 1/4 tsp.
  • celery seed.
  • Repeat layers.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 7 to 9 hrs or possibly on HIGH for 3 to 4 hrs.
  • Serve with boiled potatoes and an apple raisin salad.
  • This recipe yields 6 servings.
