Ingredients
- 1/2 envelope (1/4 c.) dry onion soup mix
- 1/4 c. vinegar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 c. catsup
- 1/4 c. salad oil
- 1 1/2 lb. beef chuck, cut in inch cubes
Method
- In saucepan, combine ingredients (except meat) along with 1/2 cup of water; bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes. Cool.
- Add meat; toss to coat.
- Refrigerate overnight (or at least 6 hours).
- Drain meat; reserve marinade.
- Thread meat on skewers. Broil over medium coals 20 to 25 minutes, turning once and brushing with marinade 2 or 3 times.
- Serves 4.
