Ingredients
- 1 pouch Campbell's onion soup mix
- 1/2 c. ketchup
- 1 c. water
- 1/4 c. packed brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. vinegar
- generous dash of ground allspice
Method
- In 1-quart saucepan, combine all ingredients.
- Over medium heat, heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
- Reduce heat to low; simmer, uncovered, 8 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Use to baste poultry, ribs or sausages during last 15 minutes of barbecuing or broiling.
- Makes 1 1/2 cups.
