Ingredients

  • 3 lb. spareribs
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 c. water
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 c. ketchup
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. mustard
  • 1/2 c. celery, chopped

Method

  • In baking pan, brown ribs on both sides.
  • In a saucepan add butter.
  • Cook onion until tender.
  • Add the remaining ingredients and cook slowly until flavors are blended, about 10 to 15 minutes, then pour sauce over browned ribs.
  • Cover tightly and bake in oven (350°) for 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until tender.
