Ingredients

  • 2 lb. spareribs
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. catsup
  • 1/4 c. chili sauce
  • 1/4 c. prepared mustard
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped onions
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • dash of garlic salt
  • 4 thin lemon slices
  • green onions (optional)

Method

  • Cut ribs into serving sized pieces.
  • Place into a Dutch oven and cover with water.
  • Add 3/4 teaspoon salt and bring to a boil. Cover; reduce heat and simmer 45 minutes; drain.
  • Place ribs in shallow baking pan.
  • Combine next nine ingredients, mixing well. Pour sauce over ribs; bake uncovered at 350° for 25 minutes, basting occasionally.
  • Garnish with green onions, if desired. Makes 3 to 4 servings.
