Ingredients

  • 1 lb. franks
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 c. celery, chopped
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 4 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1 c. ketchup
  • 1 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method

  • In saucepan, add margarine, onions and celery; saute. Add water, ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, dry mustard, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Simmer 15 minutes. You can leave franks whole or cut in bite size pieces. Place franks in casserole dish; add sauce. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Great as an appetizer or main meat.
