- 1 (3 to 4 lb.) brisket
- 2 tsp. celery seed
- 3 Tbsp. ketchup
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 Tbsp. garlic salt
- 1 tsp. onion salt
- 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp. liquid smoke
- 6 to 8 Tbsp. barbecue sauce
Method
- Mix together all ingredients except barbecue sauce.
- Brush liberally on both sides of brisket.
- Wrap in foil and "marinate" overnight in refrigerator.
- Cook for 5 hours in a 300° oven, adding 6 to 8 tablespoons barbecue sauce just before the last hour.
- Slice thinly and enjoy!
- Serves 6 to 8.
