Ingredients
- 2 lb. dry pinto beans
- 2 lb. country ham chunks
- water
- salt
Method
- Sort beans in bowl; rinse.
- Put beans in a large pan; cover with water.
- Boil rapidly for 10 to 15 minutes.
- (This swells the beans.)
- Rinse and put in crock-pot with the ham chunks.
- Add a little salt.
- Cover with water.
- Cook on high for 8 to 10 hours.
