Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (room temp)
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 3 cups cake flour
  • 6 eggs (room temp)
  • 12 pint whipping cream
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla flavoring (you can us lemon or almond as well)

Method

  • Do not preheat oven.
  • Cream sugar and butter.
  • Add eggs one at a time beating well after each addition.
  • Add alternately,while blending,the whipping cream and flour.
  • Add flavoring and continue to blend.
  • Pour into a greased and floured tube pan (I use Baker's Joy).
  • Bake at 300 degrees for 1 1/2 hours or lightly brown on top and toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let cool for about 20 minutes before removing from pan.
