Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
  • 5 1/4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 bananas ripe
  • 1 3/8 cups brown sugar
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • salt
  • 1 3/8 cups flour

Method

  • Toast the sesame seeds in a non-stick skillet.
  • Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  • Grease a bread pan with butter.
  • Mash the bananas in a large bowl.
  • Mix in the butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract.
  • Add the baking soda, a pinch of salt, and sesame seeds.
  • Stir in the flour.
  • Pour the mixture into the bread pan, and bake for about 1 hour.
  • Remove from oven, cool on a rack, and serve with a bit of butter.
