Ingredients

  • 12 chowder-size hard clams in shells or 1 (12 oz.) can hard clams
  • 1/4 stick margarine
  • 1 tsp. parsley flakes
  • 1/8 tsp. oregano
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 c. dry bread crumbs
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
  • few drops hot sauce

Method

  • Drain and chop clams.
  • Melt margarine or butter in pan.
  • Add rest of ingredients.
  • If mixture is too dry, moisten with water. Fill 1/2 clam shells or any ovenproof dishes with clam mixture. Bake at 400° until hot and bubbly for 10 to 15 minutes.
