Ingredients
- 8 oz. pkg. elbow macaroni, cooked and drained
- 2 c. grated Cheddar cheese (2 lb.)
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1/4 c. flour
- 2 c. milk
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
Method
- Prepare sauce.
- Melt butter in saucepan. Blend in flour.
- Stir in milk and seasonings.
- Bring to a boil, stirring.
- Boil 1 minute. Remove from heat and add 1 1/2 cups cheese.
- Alternate layers of macaroni and sauce in 1 1/2-quart baking dish.
- Top with remaining cheese. Bake 15 minutes at 375°.
