Ingredients
- about 2 lb. very fresh haddock
- 4 to 5 slices soft white bread, broken into small pieces
- milk
- butter
- salt and pepper
Method
- Grease a 9 x 13-inch pan (or size suitable for amount of fish).
- Preheat oven to 425°.
- Dip haddock in milk and drain on paper towels.
- Place fish in buttered pan; salt and pepper top of fish.
- Cover fish with small pieces of bread; dot generously with small pieces of butter.
- Bake for about 20 minutes.
- Turn oven down to 375° after placing in oven.
