Ingredients
- 2 c. peeled, sliced apples
- 1/3 to 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 c. regular or quick cooking oats
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 3 Tbsp. butter, softened
- whipped cream or ice cream (optional)
Method
- Place apples in a greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
- Combine remaining ingredients except whipped cream; mix until crumbly and sprinkle over apples.
- Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is golden brown.
- Serve warm with whipped cream, if desired.
- Yields 2 servings.
