Ingredients

  • 4 c. sliced apples (peeled and cored)
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1/3 c. flour
  • 2/3 c. brown sugar (firmly packed)
  • 3/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 3/4 c. quick oats
  • 1/3 c. melted butter

Method

  • Place apples in greased 8 X 8 X 2-inch pan.
  • Sprinkle with lemon juice.
  • Combine flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and oats.
  • Add melted butter.
  • Mix until crumbly.
  • Sprinkle over apples.
  • Bake at 375° for about 25 to 30 minutes or until apples are tender and top is brown.
  • Ready to eat warm or cool.
  • The recipe can be doubled.
