Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 pkg. (4-serving size) Jell-O Vanilla Instant Pudding
  • 2 tsp. Magic Baking Powder
  • 1 Granny Smith apple, peeled, chopped
  • 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 tub (227 g) Philadelphia Cinnamon Brown Sugar Cream Cheese Product
  • 2-1/4 cups icing sugar

Method

  • Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Line 13x9-inch pan with parchment, with ends of parchment extending over sides.
  • Beat butter, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla in large bowl with mixer until blended.
  • Combine next 3 ingredients.
  • Add to butter mixture; mix well.
  • Stir in apples and nuts; spread onto bottom of prepared pan.
  • Bake 25 to 30 min.
  • or until toothpick inserted in centre comes out clean.
  • Cool completely.
  • Mix cream cheese product and icing sugar with mixer until blended; spread over dessert.
  • Use parchment handles to remove dessert from pan before cutting into bars.
