- 3/4 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 1 pkg. (4-serving size) Jell-O Vanilla Instant Pudding
- 2 tsp. Magic Baking Powder
- 1 Granny Smith apple, peeled, chopped
- 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 tub (227 g) Philadelphia Cinnamon Brown Sugar Cream Cheese Product
- 2-1/4 cups icing sugar
Method
- Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Line 13x9-inch pan with parchment, with ends of parchment extending over sides.
- Beat butter, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla in large bowl with mixer until blended.
- Combine next 3 ingredients.
- Add to butter mixture; mix well.
- Stir in apples and nuts; spread onto bottom of prepared pan.
- Bake 25 to 30 min.
- or until toothpick inserted in centre comes out clean.
- Cool completely.
- Mix cream cheese product and icing sugar with mixer until blended; spread over dessert.
- Use parchment handles to remove dessert from pan before cutting into bars.
